Announcements

Hanson Recreation and Friends of Camp Kiwanee will be presenting Sadie and the Seventh Son on Friday and Saturday, March 18, 19, 25 & 26 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 21 & 27 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 and can be purchased by calling 781-293-2333 or 781-447-3915.

Hanson Community Preservation Committee will be holding its annual public Open Forum Meeting on March 16th from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Hanson Town Hall. Committee members will be on hand to discuss the Community Preservation Act (CPA) and to review the deadlines and application process for the upcoming grant cycle.~~ Potential grant applicants and the general public are encouraged to attend. The forum is also a meant to be a platform for providing feedback/suggestions to the Committee for future projects. Nomination Papers are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office.  The last day to pull nomination papers is Thursday, March 31st.  Papers must be returned to the Town Clerk by Monday, April 4th at 5:00 p.m.  Positions include Moderator, Selectmen, Assessor, Board of Health, Cemetery Commissioner, Planning Board, Memorial Field Trustees, Trustees Public Library, WHRSD School Comm. and Water Commission.
Whitman-Hanson Education Foundation's First Annual Spelling Bee is March 31st, 2011   6:30 p.m. to 9:00 PM at the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School’s Performing Arts Center. The entry fee for each team is $150 and is tax-deductible. Proceeds will fund grants in all of the Whitman Hanson schools for grades pre-K through High School.  For more information to www.wheducationfoundation.org 
The Hanson Rotary Club is Sponsoring a Comedy Night on Saturday,  April 9th from 7:00 pm to 10.30 pm  at the Whitman V.F.W. on Essex St.  Three top comedians, raffles, and prizes.  Tickets are $25.00 and includes pizza.  For tickets call Peter @ 781 293-3551.   Proceeds go to local charities
